El Duende Natural, Mexico
About this coffee:
Produced by Grupo Terruño Nayarita in Nayarit, Mexico
Tastes like: ripe stewed strawberry, chocolate milk
Named after the drying station, this coffee is a wonderful example of a cleanly processed natural coffee from Mexico. This is our second harvest working with Grupo Terruño Nayarita. They are an organization that started with the goal of improving the lives of farmers by increasing the quality of coffee in Nayarit so that co-ops and farmers could get more money for the coffee they farmed. What a great goal!

A great every day coffee. I'm not very good at describing tasting notes, but this one is definitely chocolately and is especially good for making iced coffee!
El Duende Natural, Mexico is my favorite of all the coffee beans I've tried from Farmers Union. The amazing smell from the coffee beans (ranging from peppery to sweet/oatmeal cookie for me) is such a great experience. The grounds really foam up when I pour hot water over them, so using the Aeropress is always an interesting experience. Manos de Mujer is my 2nd favorite. Being able to get fresh roasted coffee beans delivered (local) has been so good during the pandemic and the ordering process has been super easy.
